Zach & NicoleOne of my all time favorite sessions in Charleston, is one of dear friends, Zach and Nicole! My husband knew Zach from years past but close to two years ago they both visited our church on James Island where we met each other. Zach and Nicole had just gotten married and have the coolest story from how they met and where they have come from! They both grew up in South Africa (Nicole has an awesome accent!) and met as kids but didn't start dating until they were both in the US. We love this couple and have had the privilege to get to know them more the past two years. Last fall I asked if they would be up for a session on the beach and they eagerly said YES! It was gorgeous and so natural. They both were super cute and sweet to each other and laughed together most of the time, which made my job super easy. They are now pregnant with twins and I look forward to another shoot with the whole family:)! Enjoy these images from our shoot!
Avery & MichaelI met Avery and Michael this summer downtown at a breakfast restaurant. It was such a fun morning meeting them for the first time and talking about their relationship and their hopes for the Big Day. I left breakfast wanting to hang out with Avery even more - she and her fiancé are both awesome! A few things that stood out to me about this sweet couple was not only their love for each other, but how much Avery laughs, how Michael makes her giggle, how chill and easy going they both are, and just how perfect they are for each other! I wanted to be their friend and hang out all the time! It really was a joy to be around them then and on the wedding day. I never met a more relaxed bride and groom! It seemed that they both were so excited for what God had done in bringing them together and enjoyed each moment they had before the ceremony and after. One of my favorite parts of the wedding was how thrilled they were after saying "I do"! As you will see in the images below, they held each others hand to walk out and looked into one another's face with pure joy!! What a gift to be there and witness their covenant together but also to keep those moments and memories alive by photographing it! I hope you enjoy these images of the Nicholas wedding at Wild Dunes!
Thank you Mr & Mrs Nicholas for allowing me to capture your beautiful day!

Honey Brake WeddingIf you are reading this, thanks for checking out my blogs!! Over the next few months, my recent photo shoots will be posted here instead of the page "current blogs". Here is a wedding styled shoot from last fall at the breathtaking venue in Louisiana - Honey Brake Lodge. This venue has a rustic and natural charm that appeals to nature/wildlife enthusiasts as well as high end clients. The lodge and cabins sit high above the ground in the trees and float with the spanish moss and chirping birds. The lake view makes for the perfect wedding ceremony site and romantic images! I was flown down last fall to do two different styled shoots as the wedding venue was just launching. I love the Louisiana air, the heat, the sandy roads, the trees, and most of all, my family that lives there! It was great being able to see them and be part of promoting this wedding destination. Enjoy!

Caldwell Family at DorchesterMy husband and I met the Caldwell family last year when we visited Charleston. We came down with some members and pastors of our church to look, pray, and see if the Lord would have us move to Charleston to be part of a church plant! The Caldwell's graciously opened their home and welcomed us in to stay for a few days. Their kindness and hospitality spoke of the love they had for God and others and we were blessed by it! We have seen them a couple times since then and I was excited when Rebecca reached out to book a family session. They love Colonial Dorchester State park here in Charleston for its unique features, history, and natural beauty, and so it was the perfect spot for me to capture their family's pictures. As for all my clients, I want my pictures to remind them of the sweet and precious relationships that are captured... the laughs, the kisses, the whispers, and the love between them all. Now that I am a mother of a sweet little boy, taking family photos has become more dear to my heart as I want to treasure each moment with my family and remember it forever.
Thanks for stopping by ! If you'd like to book a family portrait session - I would love to hear from you at: [email protected] Our Big Little ManOur "big little man" is 10 months old! I could say so many things about this cutie...he has truly added so much joy to our lives. Caleb is a beautiful gift filled with joy and giggles. He is so sweet, a little goof ball, loves animals, persistent, brave, belly laughs a lot, makes mommy laugh with funny faces, babbles, loves being chased and looking at his books. I took these sweet images yesterday and I think they capture his personality perfectly! The little rascal about gave this mamma a heart attack as he tried crawling off the couch as I took his photos though....thankfully he never made it - although he loved me yelling and running towards him to catch him.
